How we started
A group of electrical engineering students at a leading university recognized a common challenge that transcended individual struggles—the poor audio quality of recorded lectures. Coming together with a shared vision, they pooled their technical expertise to address this widespread educational barrier. This collaboration sparked the formation of PITCH PERFECT LABS. The team began by analyzing the specific audio issues prevalent in academic recordings, developing algorithms that could enhance clarity, reduce background noise, and normalize volume, thereby tailoring their solution to meet the unique needs of the student body.
Why ?
The project was conceived out of necessity during a pivotal shift in educational practices prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As lectures moved online, the quality of audio recordings became a critical factor in educational success. Many students, especially those with hearing difficulties or those studying in noisy environments, faced significant challenges. The team behind PITCH PERFECT LABS recognized that improving audio quality could dramatically enhance the effectiveness of online learning. Their goal was to democratize access to clear and comprehensible educational content, ensuring that every student, regardless of personal circumstances, could achieve academic success.
